Family Law in the World Community

Students will explore the application of international instruments to transnational family law issues, and use international law to evaluate states’ practices regarding family violence and reproductive freedom. Additionally, course will compare various approaches to topics such as marriage, support of children, reproductive issues, assisted reproduction, child-rearing practices, and children’s rights.
