This course explores the business, legal, and negotiating issues involved in intellectual property licensing agreements. Students will read cases and other materials in order to gain an overview of intellectual property law, pertinent areas of contract law, business factors, and valuation issues. They will prepare for and engage in a major negotiation session. The grade will be based in part on that negotiation session and in part on a paper to be turned in on the last day of class.

The paper may satisfy the basic requirement.
