Second and third-year School of Law students can begin developing a specialty in the field of sustainable business law. Sustainable Business Law Statement of Completion requirements are:
- Students must satisfactorily complete:
business associations,
securities regulation,
administrative law, and
either natural resources law or environmental and pollution
- In addition, students must satisfactorily complete two courses from each of Groups A and B below.

hazardous waste
international environmental law
renewable energy law
sustainability (if offered)
water law
Group B
accounting for lawyers
advanced business law seminar
business planning
environmental tax (if offered)
mergers and acquisitions
private equity and venture capital
small business clinic
sustainable business (at the Business School)
tax policy
- Students may petition members of the statement of completion committee to substitute up to two equivalent courses for any two of the above-listed courses.
