The University of Oregon School of Law receives more than 2,050 applications for approximately 180 seats in the first-year class. A comprehensive, holistic evaluation of each file is made in consideration of academic performance, potential for success, future contribution to the legal profession and LSAT score.


Fall 2008 Admissions Deadlines

September 1, 2007 - March 1, 2008: First-Year Applications Accepted
Applications must be postmarked by March 1. Late applications may be considered.

July 1, 2008: Fall Semester Transfer and Visiting Student Application Deadline
Applications must be postmarked by July 1. Late applications may be considered.

November 15, 2008: Spring Semester Transfer and Visiting Student Application Deadline
Applications must be postmarked by November 15. Late applications may be considered.

January 1 - March 1, 2008: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Applications Accepted
Be sure to designate the University of Oregon School of Law as the recipient of your FAFSA report.

January 15, 2008: Priority Deadline for International Applicants

February 1 - May 31, 2008: Decision Letter Mailing Begins
Some candidates are notified before February 1. Most candidates receive notice before the end of May.

March 1, 2008: Priority Deadline for First-Year J.D. Applicants

April 1 - June 1, 2008: Admitted Student Seat Deposits Due
Seat deposits secure placement in the first-year class. Deposit deadlines and enrollment policies are detailed in the letter of admission. Deposits are nonrefundable.
