Private gifts make a substantial difference in the quality and vitality of the Law School. Less than one-third of the schools budget is provided by the state, so your contribution provides crucial funds for many important student programs and projects. Your gift helps the school recruit the best and brightest students, provides funding for student competitions, student journals, law review, the law library collection, and student financial aid programs.
For information about giving at the University of Oregon, including museums, specific graduate schools, libraries, and more, visit the UO Giving website
There are many ways to make a gift.

Planned Giving
Planned gifts can bring financial benefits to you and your family. UO planned gifts generate lifelong income, convert low-yielding assets into a higher income stream at a reduced capital gains cost; obtain significant income tax deductions; and reduce or eliminate estate taxes.
The UO Office of Gift Planning at (541) 346-1687 can assist you in tailoring your bequests and structuring gifts of life insurance, art collections, and other assets.
Gifts of Appreciated Assets(Stocks, bonds, securities, properties)
Appreciated assets, such as property or stocks, are another way to make a significant gift. Contact the UO gift officers at (541) 346-2254 for more information. Donors should have their brokers transfer the securities to the University of Oregon Foundation. Additional information should include the year of your graduation as well as gift designations.
Employer's Matching Gift Program
Matching gifts are an easy way for donors to double their donation. If you work for a company with a matching gift program, please include your companys matching gift form with your gift. If you are unsure if your employer has a matching gift program, please indicate the name of your company and we will do the checking for you.
Endowments
Endowments help us maintain our margin of excellence in providing funds for recruiting and retaining faculty and students who meet or exceed our high standards. Endowments can be established for professorships, scholarships, and programs. Please contact the Director of Development for further information. Call (541) 346-2125 or
