All Day Room 142 Contact: Prof. Barbara Aldave • Email • 541-346-3985 On Friday, November 20, 2009, The Portia Project and the Women's Law Forum will cosponsor an all-day conference entitled "Prisons and People: A Focus on Incarcerate Women and Their Children." The conference, which will be held in Room 142 of the Knight Law Center, is free and open to the public. The invited speakers and participants include Max Williams, the Director of the Oregon Department of Corrections; attorneys and judges; counselors and administrators at Coffee Creek Correctional Facility; representatives of community organizations that assist women who are under post-prison supervision; and formerly incarcerated women and their family members.
