Made in the 80s! The annual OLSPIF fall Fundraiser, all proceeds go toward awarding students summer stipends for unpaid public interest work. $10 admission w/ school ID, $12 w/o.
Gather your acid washed jeans, leg warmers, don't forget to wear glasses in the dark, and join us for a tubular time. Beverages, food, music, and a costume contest on Friday Oct. 2nd.

The Native American Law Student Association (NALSA) presents a film series:

WE SHALL REMAIN is a groundbreaking mini-series and provocative multi-media project that establishes Native history as an essential part of American history. Five 90-minute documentaries spanning three hundred years tell the story of pivotal moments in U.S. history from the Native American perspective.

We will be showing the film in 10 segments each Monday at noon, beginning this Monday September 14th in the Many Nations Longhouse. Bring your lunch and join us to learn about Native American history.

Photographer Scott Blackman's "Sanctuaries" public exhibit of Oregon Coast photographs is currently on display in the 2d floor gallery of the Law School. A public reception will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009 from 5-7 PM in the gallery. A dramatic slideshow of Scott's work over the years will be shown at 5:45 PM and discussion will follow. Light refreshments will be available. Come and meet Scott and enjoy his beautiful Oregon panorama.

James E. McGuire, a mediator with JAMS in Boston, Massachusetts, will lead a discussion on mediation in China. Mr. McGuire has been part of an international exchange program on mediation with Chinese judges and professors. Mediation in China is both very ancient and very modern. China has decided that mediation shall be the preferred form of dispute resolution. In this program, Mr. McGuire will discuss some aspects of the exchange. Come with your thoughts and questions. The Duck Dash & Walk is a memorial run in remembrance of Thomas Foster III, who was a third-year UO School of Law student at the time of his death in 1999. Proceeds from this benefit the Tom Foster Scholarship Fund at the law school.
