Mentoring Programs

Lane County Bar Association Mentorship Program:

Lawyers and judges within the Eugene-Springfield community volunteer their time to mentor interested students from the school. Students fill out applications specifying their area of interest and what they are looking for from their mentor. The bar committee then matches up students with mentors. The kick-off event is a mentor/student social held early fall semester.

Mentee/Mentor Forms:

Student forms should be emailed to Joshua Burstein (click to email). Mentor forms should be e-mailed to Kamala Shugar.

Portland Mentorship Program:

This program, organized by Portland members of the UO Law Alumni Association, begins with an informational meeting in Eugene in late October. The Association also organizes a mentor/student kick-off event in Portland, usually the last Friday in January. Students generally submit applications by late October and are notified of mentor matches by the second week in January. We strongly recommend our Portland Mentoring Program to those students who are interested in practicing in Portland.
