Welcome to the Career Services page. We take pride in offering outstanding, comprehensive services and a wealth of resources to help University of Oregon law students reach their career goals. We hope these pages will answer your questions.

One of the most important components of a legal education is career planning. Yet it is also one of the most neglected.

Experience tells us that students who have a clear sense of their strengths and direction - and who take an active role in their career development - are likely to be successful when it comes time to enter a competitive job market. Many already have a specific focus and purpose in coming to law school, but we see at least as many who have a more general interest. If you decide to come to the University of Oregon School of Law and are in this latter group, one of our primary goals will be to help you define your direction and to bring your career goals into focus if you haven't already done so.
