David Kopilak joined Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt in 1994 and focuses his practice in the areas of business and corporate law. He has considerable experience in negotiating and drafting contracts, buying and selling businesses, forming corporations and limited liability companies, and advising clients on a variety of general business matters.
He graduated from the University of Oregon School of Law, Juris Doctor Degree (Order of the Coif); American Jurisprudence Award in Contracts, Corporate Law, and Jurisprudence (1994). He received his Bachelor of Arts degree (1986) from West Virginia University. During law school, Mr. Kopilak was the Executive Editor of the Oregon Law Review from 1993-1994, and an Associate Editor from 1992-1993.
Mr. Kopilak has also worked on-site as an attorney for Intel Corporation, and is the co-founder and president of ClayTablet, a company that provides legal documents to Oregon and Washington attorneys.
