David Wade has practiced law for 29 years. At law school, Mr. Wade studied antitrust and trade regulation law with Phillip Areeda, Robert Pitofsky, Donald Turner, and (now Justice) Stephen Breyer.
He clerked for U.S. District Judge James B. McMillan. At the Antitrust Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, he investigated crude oil pricing in the Persian Gulf. With John Doar in New York, he represented the Chessie System Railroad in the Iron Ore Antitrust litigation. At Hoecker, McMahon & Wade in Los Angeles, he negotiated the settlement documents under which five major oil companies agreed to pay $240 million to the city of Long Beach to settle price fixing claims. Since 1993, he has been trying business cases at Doyle, Gartland, Nelson, McCleery & Wade in Eugene. He teaches Antitrust Law at the law school.
