Law professor Angela Onwuachi-Willig of the University of Iowa speaks. "Undercover Other," her 2006 essay in California Law Review, explores the similarities between same-sex marriages and interracial marriages. She unpacks the claim that the ability of gays and lesbians to pass as heterosexual makes the ban on same-sex marriages distinct and thus not comparable to the former ban on interracial marriages.
