Joan Malmud clerked after law school for the Honorable William Schwarzer in the Northern District of California. She then practiced with the New York corporate law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. Malmud has written about sentencing entrapment under the federal sentencing guidelines. She is co-editor of The Second Draft, the national bulletin of the Legal Writing Institute.
