Eric Priest

Eric Priest Assistant Professor

Professor Priest is an expert in the areas of intellectual property law, Chinese intellectual property, and the Chinese entertainment industry.

Professor Priest received is law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2002, where he served as editor-in-chief of the Chicago-Kent Law Review, and his LL.M. from Harvard Law School in 2005. While at Harvard, Priest worked as a research fellow for the Berkman Center for Internet & Society where he researched and analyzed Internet censorship and surveillance practices in several Asian countries for the center's OpenNet Initiative.

Professor Priest's research interests include intellectual property law; international intellectual property law; digital copyright law; the impact of the Internet and emerging technologies and business models on innovation, economics, and the law; and the development of intellectual property laws and norms in China and other emerging nations.
