In addition to teaching, Professor McAniff is of counsel with OMelveny & Myers, LLP (Los Angeles), practicing banking law, corporate and securities law, mergers and acquisitions, and public finance transactions. He has acted as underwriters counsel for many of the major investment banking concerns and leading commercial banks, and has been listed in the National Law Journal, as one of the top 20 leading banking lawyers in the United States. McAniff has been lead counsel in business transactions of all kinds, including venture capital startup offerings, major private placements, off-balance sheet commercial paper programs, major project financings, restructurings, and, during his time with a solictors firm in Australia, multinational natural resource project financings.
