Law Students For Sustainable Business Gifts Sustainable Business Collection to
Law Library
Law
Students for Sustainable Business ("LSSB") recently announced that it
will gift approximately $40,000 to Oregon Law's library to create a new
Sustainable Business Collection. LSSB's gift will purchase more than
350 books and videos, building a collection unique in the Northwest.
The funding's significance is enhanced by the fact that funds were put
together by and for students, from a coalition of sources including the
Associated Students of the University of Oregon.
The
new collection will be available for cross-disciplinary research and
development in the vital field of sustainable business. As law student
Casey Whelan explained, "Sustainable business and renewable energy
development are issues that affect everyone, and the University has the
chance to become a leader in the field."
Board
members of the Law Students for Sustainable Business include Casey
Whelan, Matt Schroettnig, Joe Kraus, Scott Schneider, faculty advisor
Rob Illig, and industry advisor Ed Einowski.
