January 9th 2008 Oregon Book Award Winner Professor Garrett Epps to Read From Democracy Reborn Thursday, January 10Thursday, January 10, at 5:00 p.m., at the Heathman Hotel Library (1001 SW Broadway) in Portland, 2007 Oregon Book Award winner Professor Garrett Epps will read selections from his book Democracy Reborn: The Fourteenth Amendment and the Fight for Equal Rights in Post-Civil War America. The reading is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served. |
