Professor Adell Amos '98 Wins Orlando Hollis Teaching Award

Oregon Law is pleased to congratulate Professor Adell Amos, who is the recipient of the 2009 Orlando J. Hollis Teaching Award for her excellence in teaching.

Amos is an assistant professor of law and director of the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Program, as well as a 1998 graduate of Oregon Law. Her scholarship addresses citizen participation in water rights adjudications, the relationship between federal and state governments on water resource management, and the role of administrative agencies in setting national and local water policy. Prior to joining the Oregon Law faculty, Professor Amos practiced environmental and natural resources law with the Solicitor's Office, Division of Parks and Wildlife at the United States Department of the Interior.

In addition to receiving the Hollis Teaching Award, Professor Amos also was selected to serve as the 2009-10 Resident Scholar at the University of Oregon's Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics as it embarks on examining the new two-year theme of "Climate Ethics and Climate Equity."
