Portland Program

The Portland Program builds academic and professional bridges in the Portland metropolitan area for law students in Eugene. It establishes closer ties with Portland’s legal and business communities and the 2,000 UO law graduates who have established their careers in Oregon’s largest city. Law professor Steven Bender directs the program.

Portland Classes

A small menu of course offerings in the fall and spring semesters is available through the Portland Program to complement Portland area externship offerings. All of these classes are taught live in Portland, and some are video teleconferenced to additional students in Eugene. In spring 2009, for example, the course offerings consist of Secured Land Transactions, Commercial Law Survey, and Renewable Energy.

Course offerings in the summer may also be available in Portland based on student interest.
