Jon Jacobson, Professor Emeritus

Jon Jacobson joined the law school faculty following law practice with Bronson, Bronson & Mckinnon of San Francisco and a year as a Bigelow Fellow at the University of Chicago Law School. His teaching and research interests focus on the international law of the sea. He is founding director of the Ocean and Coastal Law Center and served as editor in chief of Ocean Development and International Law from 1990 to 1999. He has twice been a Fulbright scholar while on sabbatical leave at the University of Oslo's Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law and in 1982-83 held the Stockton Chair in International Law at the U.S. Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island.
