How it Works

Your organization submits a detailed description of your project, including an e-mail address contact. The more this person knows about the project, the better, as the student researcher will likely have questions.

The LAWRA coordinator reviews your post for suitability and may request more information. The coordinator then converts the post to a PDF, if not already in that format. The PDF then goes to this site, which is password protected. Only law students will see your request. Confidential material may also be protected by contacting the LAWRA point person directly. The students will search the page for a project that fits their interests and the time they can devote to the project. Lastly, the students will e-mail the organization's contact to volunteer and begin work.

The LAW Research and Assistance (LAWRA) arm provides as much assistance to student researchers as possible. For instance, LAWRA is currently soliciting examples of comments (on agency plans) specific to this geographical area, as well as examples of administrative-record reviews.
