Rebekah Hanley: B.A., cum laude, 1996, Yale University; J.D., Order of the Coif, 2000, University of California at Los Angeles. Rebekah Hanley clerked after law school for the Honorable Dean D. Pregerson in the Central District of California. She then practiced law in Los Angeles with Munger, Tolles & Olson. Hanley later clerked for the Honorable Harry Pregerson, United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Joan Malmud: B.A., magna cum laude, 1993, Williams College; J.D., cum laude, Order of the Coif, 1998, University of Pennsylvania. Malmud clerked for Judge William Schwarzer in the Northern District of California and then worked in the litigation department of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, a law firm in New York City.

Megan McAlpin: B.A., summa cum laude, Western Oregon University; J.D., 2003, Willamette University. An Oregon native, McAlpin clerked for the Oregon Department of Justice and later practiced in the areas of business and litigation. She was a member of Willamette Law Review, and she has extensive experience working with college and law students on writing.

Suzanne E. Rowe: B.A. with honors, 1983, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; J.D., 1989, Columbia University. Between teaching positions at the University of San Diego and Florida State University, Rowe clerked for a federal trial judge and worked as a tax associate in a Wall Street law firm. She has written books of legal research and articles on teaching legal skills. Rowe directs the LRW program.

Tenielle Fordyce-Ruff: B.A., with honors, 1999, University of Wyoming; J.D., 2004, University of Oregon School of Law. During law school, Tenielle Fordyce-Ruff was a member of the Oregon Law Review and the NAAC Moot Court team, and she worked for the Oregon Department of Justice. She then spent four years with the Idaho courts, most recently clerking for Justice Roger S. Burdick of the Idaho Supreme Court. She is co-author of Idaho Legal Research.

Mary S. Lawrence: B.A., 1960, M.A., 1962, Michigan State; J.D., 1977, Oregon. Lawrence is a national leader in the LRW field. She received the first award for distinguished service to the profession given by the Section on Legal Writing of the Association of American Law Schools. She is the author of several books.
