LRW > Writing Competitions

The LRW program serves as a clearinghouse for student writing competitions. Donna Williamson, the LRW Program Assistant, compiles information on writing competitions and posts them on this site. She also maintains a notebook with competition information that students are free to browse.

If you are writing a comprehensive paper or a note this year, we urge you to review this material online or in print. You're likely to find a competition that could publish your work and/or provide monetary rewards. Click here for news of one student's successful entry.

Many competitions take place annually. So that students can anticipate upcoming competitions, information on past competitions (whose deadlines have passed for this year) is linked at the bottom of the page.
