For more information on the summer school, visit: http://www.navdanya.org/bija/location.htm Tech-to-Farmer CampaignThe Tech-to-Farmer campaign is an online campaign aimed at connecting the financial resources of Indian hi-tech workers in the U.S. to the interests of farmers in India. Financial resources are dedicated to purchasing land, seeds and fertilizer so that Indian farmers may reclaim their land and their rights to native seeds. The impetus for the project is the startling rise in suicides by Indian farmers who have lost their livelihoods as a result of misappropriation of farmland and seed rights in India. The premise of the campaign involves the filming and distribution of a documentary detailing the plight of Indian farmers and exploring alternatives to globalization. If you have experience in documentary filmmaking or would otherwise like to contribute to this effort, please send us an email indicating your interest.
