Public Interest Public Service Program
|
The Public Interest Public Service Program ("PIPS") is an umbrella organization that seeks to: develop understanding of the value of public interest and service work nationally and globally; promote public interest and service activities and knowledge through lectures and discussions; serve as a clearinghouse for information about public interest and public service volunteer opportunities; develop public interest and public service externships; and provide awards to law students, alumni, and lawyers for public interest and public service work. The PIPS Program is coordinated by Professor Tom Lininger and managed by an executive board composed of students and faculty. The PIPS Program sponsors lectures and workshops on public interest and public service activities and issues. PIPS also sponsors a Public Service Symposium each fall and a Public Service Day each spring. |
