Good advice from the Office of Student Advocacy when interacting with law enforcement officers:
“Whether you live on or around campus you are likely to have contact with officers from the UO Department of Public Safety (DPS) or the Eugene Police Department (EPD). You should treat all law enforcement officers with the same respect you expect them to treat you with. If you receive a citation from DPS or EPD do your best to be polite, don’t touch the officer and don’t “mouth off.” Remember that anything you say or do will be described to a judge or other decision maker in incident reports and may be used against you in any resulting criminal or administrative proceedings.”

If you would like law students to teach your undergraduate class, high school class, fraternity, sorority, or similar group, please contact: Andrea Thompson.
