Position Descriptions

All Executive Board positions are available for the 2008-2009 academic term. An informational meeting about campaign and voting procedures will take place on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, noon, in room 142. Following the March 11 meeting, candidates will submit a short campaign speech (150 words or less), to Sarah Einowski. Candidate speeches will be posted on this webpage. Candidates have until 5:00 p.m. of March 15th to email speeches to Sarah.

Ballots will be available on Monday, March 17th. The election will take place on Tuesday, March 18th. Only WLF members are eligible to vote. To vote, pick up a paper ballot from the "Blank Ballots" folder in Beth Crawford's 3L mail folder, fill out your choices, and return it to Beth's "Completed Ballots" folder. Votes must be submitted by Tuesday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m.

Director
Responsible for leading the organization, serving as liasion to administration, faculty, and staff, presiding over meetings, assuring cohesive and proper functioning of the executive officers, and assisting in planning events.

Conference Coordinators (2)
Responsible for organizing and coordinating all aspects of WLF events. This responsibilty often includes delegating the logistics to a planning subcommittee. Conference coordinators are also responsible for the budgetary aspects of each event.

Treasurer
Responsible for keeping WLF apprised of its financial status, writing purchase orders, ensuring attendance at ASUO meetings, applying for Dean's and SBA funds, and formulating the annual budget for submission to the ASUO (includes coordination with the PFC). The treasurer also assists in planning events.

Secretary
Responsible for scheduling meetings, reserving meeting spaces, and keeping and distributing meeting minutes. The secretary also assists in planning events.

Public Relations Officer
Responsible for promotion of all WLF events within the law school, university, and community. The public relations officer also maintains the WLF Web site and assists in planning events.

SBA Liaison
Responsible for attending mandatory SBA meetings on behalf of WLF and being informed about decisions within the law school that are relevant to WLF. The SBA liaison also seeks co-sponsorship opportunities for WLF with other student organizations and assists in planning events.
