The William W. Knight Law Center

One of the finest law school facilities in the country, the 138,000-square-foot Knight Law Center provides the optimal environment for rigorous study while retaining Oregon's signature warmth and informality. Built around a town-square commons, the building includes a light-filled and spacious library, comfortable offices for student journals and organizations, a mock courtroom, a 200-seat auditorium, and, in keeping with law school tradition, a basketball court. Our building complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and we are constantly looking for ways to make our environment barrier-free.

When it opened in fall, 1999, the Knight Law Center was named "most wired law school in America" by the national Computer Assisted Legal Instruction Group. The school offers wireless access throughout and more than 1,500 "fast Ethernet" jacks allow for 100-megabit connections to the Internet. Classroom technology includes video projectors, full Internet access, cable TV access, touch screen controller systems, and wireless microphones. For more information or questions on technology at the Knight Law Center, please visit the Technology section of this website.
